Don's acoustic-based sound, augmented by studio backing tracks, produces a perfect blend of instrumentation that is an  "original soundtrack" experience. After performing with his own band for years he decided to use music computer technology to create an enhanced solo performance. "My goal was to create a full band sound as a soloist... not over done but just enough to enhance the performance."

Don's style veers towards classic soft rock (Eagles & Clapton) with a touch of jazz tossed in. He often includes intricate acoustic pieces (Acoustic Alchemey & Earl Klugh) along with the nostalgia of the 60s and 70s (Bread, Beatles, & Elton) at times playing rhythmic-fusion selections (Lee Ritenour & Sypro Gyra). Even performing renditions by notable female artists (Allison Krause, Chaka Kahn,) rearranged and presented with dexterity and compelling delivery.

Don is a graduate of the University of Redlands and has studied composition and arranging at the Grove School of Music in Studio City CA. He is versed in classical, jazz, folk, blues, and rockabilly styles. He has played around the country performing at shows with rock and roll artists including, Linda Ronstadt, The Drifters, Big Joe Turner and others.

In the late 90's Don moved to Cleveland and pursued a part-time music career as a soloist and side musician. During that time he worked with blues bands, a 9-piece jazz/swing band, and as a solo artist in clubs and coffee houses.

Returning to California in 2000, Don now plays regularly around So Cal in addition to teaching, scheduling premiere bands for shows,  and providing affiliate event production services (sound reinforcement, lighting, and video).
